Hi Paul, It has been a while since I have worked on my Bowlby line but I think we are looking at the same family.
Catharine Hornbaker Bowlby (wife of John 8)was my 5th great grandmother. My line follows their third daughter, Catharine (1769), who married James Allen. According to my records, Samuel was next in line after Catharine and I have an approximate birth date of 1770 for him so we may have Samuel mixed up with another Samuel. It shows he died young at 21, but according to his father's will(John8), Sammuel had a daughter named Polly. Let me know what you think and maybe we can share other information. Alice
