I have the following Bowies in Hickory Township, Mercer County, PA. All were born in Scotland. Are they all relatives of Jacob & Kate Bowie?
Euphemia Bowie (1850-1913) came to America in 1862 or 1863. Married Walter Cunningham in Hickory Twp in 1869. Euphemia & Walter had 11 children born between 1869 & 1892.
From 1870 census, John Bowie (age 47) & wife Catherine (age 47)were both born in Scotland. They were living in Hickory Twp with 5 children born in PA - Jane, Alexander, Ellen, Eupheme, & Jennet.
From 1870 census, Hunter Bowie (age 39) & wife Margaret (age 40) were both born in Scotland. They were living in Hickory Twp with 6 children born in PA - Caty, Alexander, Isabella, Joanna, Jennet, & Joseph.
From 1870 census, Magie Bowie (age 14) was born in Scotland. She was working as a domestic servant in the household of farmer James Pierce of Hickory Twp.
