This message is about Daniel Bowie. He may be a soldier died in 1864 in Virginia. I have a transcript of a letter that my gr grandfather wrote describing the death of a comrade by the name of Daniel Bowie. The information accompanying the letter said that Daniel Bowie was a native of Florida. If this matches anyone please let me know. I cannot be sure that the Daniel Bowie mentioned in the letter is the same as the som of Catherine Bowie but he was the only one I found in Florida when I checked the census.
