Margaret Hodgson here out on the West Coast of Canada, originally from the Timmins area of Ontario.
I was browsing through the sites and noticed the message from my brother, John Gallagher, about the Bowies in the Ottawa Valley. We are indeed from the Bowies of Calumet Island, P.Q. Our grandfather was Mark Bowie of Timmins, Ontario, son of William Alexander Bowie and Ellen Griffin of Calumet Island. Siblings of Mark were Emma, Ella, Marguerite, Louis, Edmond, Peter, Annie. I think you are probably from the family of Michael Bowie and Annie Gillan. I am interested in gleaning more of the Bowie history and can be contacted at cjhodgson@sprint.ca I think the message from Guy Bowie also connects us as he mentions Cletus, another son of Fred Bowie who was in turn a son of Michael Bowie.
