I'm new to the Internet. My ggg grandfather, Rueben S. Bowie, was born in Charles County, MD in 1790. Left an orphan at an early age, he was taken to Alexandria, VA. I did learned that his father was a schoolmaster. I would be glad to receive any information on Rueben's parents, dates or places.
