This info is from "The Simmons and Welch Families of Charles Co. Md." by Michael Mazzeo Jr. Ethelbert Bowie Sr. aand his wife Margaret Elizabeth Kendrick both of Charles Co. had nine children one of whom is listed as Frances Marion Bowie who married Thomas Prembrooke Simmons. This is probably one in the same as your Marion Frances Bowie. She would have been the 7th child. My ggrandfather Ethelbert Bowie Jr. was the third child and he was born in 1847, Charles Co. Md.
