Hi Patsy, The info I have on Nimrod came from another Murphree researcher. My info has Nimrod born 1788 in Bedford Co., TN. He married Rody/Rhoda in 1812 (I don't know if this is her correct name. Apparently Nimrod was an inventor of sorts and was bad about neglecting his family. The Murphree Quarterly, June 1969, page 117, tells of Nimrod having patented 2 different straw cutters. He supposedly left Rhoda alone in 1829 in Carroll Co., TN with 4 small children. Rhoda was granted a divorce from Nimrod in 1833, which I imagine was quite scandalous at the time. The info I have states that there were 4 children, but like you, I only have two names: Sarah and Daniel Levi. Sarah Murphree married Michael Bowerman on 30 Apr 1837. Michael died in 1855 in Blount Co., AL. Their children are as follows: John, Calvin, Benton, Wiley, Mary Catherine, Martha Evaline, Pleasant, Emery and Sarah Ann. As you probably know, there are more Michael Bowermans than you can shake a stick at. It seems to have been a favorite name. Hope this info helps you out.
