Mary Bower parents Ashe Co. North Carolina

I have just begun researching my Bower ancestor, Mary Bower 1790-1857 married to Jesse Reeves. I have discovered references to different parents, i.e. George Bower and America Rousseau, John Bower and Elizbeth Lewis and John and Elizabeth Rhodes Wright. I have different birth dates for America and Mary which I believe must be due to naming descendants after other family members. Any help anyone can give would certainly be appreciated.
