My Bowers ancestors are from Portugese Cove Nova Scotia. Annie Verge married William Bowers Feb. 28. 1865. William was the son of Edward Bowers & Elizabeth Percell. William & Annie had 4 children, Rosanne b. Jan, 14, 1867, Elizabeth b. July 29, 1869, William B. Dec.6, 1871 & Samuel b, Sept. 3, 1881. If these are your line let me know. I have no idea what happened to William & Samuel.
