Would love to hear from anyone researching my g-g-g-grandfather, JOHN BOWEN's family. He was born in 1790 in Maine, served in the War of 1812 and married in 1815 to SYLVIA ROSE (Bennington, VT family of ROSES') Migrated to the Onondaga Co., NY region and had the following children:
Cyrus H. ; Julia Ann; Elizabeth; Domenicus; Melintus; Charlotte; Rebecca; Rowena; Jerome; Fydelia; Julinia; and Orissa. They moved into Eaton Co., Michigan around 1836 as the last child was born in Michigan. JOHN died in Eaton Co., in 1841 buried in Olivet Cemetery. I would especially like to find who his parents/siblings may have been. If you can lend any leads I would greatly appreciate it. This has been my so called "brick wall" for 21 years now.
