I have posted this same query to an older post so I apologize to anyone that has already read this same message. I thought it might be more productive to be current than 5 or more years old.
I hope all those that have put out queries about George, William Bowen and Lovisia Ann Murdock are still monitoring these boards. I have been looking for some connection to the William/Lovisia Bowen from Delaware. My G-G-Grandfather was from Delaware, William Bowen b.1815 (per census). I first found him in 1850 census Ross County Ohio with young wife (Jane Hurtt) and two children. He was married previous to Area Ashby b.???? d.1843 I believe she died during child birth because I have found out that their third child also was born and died in 1843. The family moved to Macon County Illinois about 1852 and settled in the Oakley community. He died Jan 1870 per Illinois Mortality Census records.
I believe my William is the William listed in most trees of William and Lovisia however I am unable to complete a connection due the one fact that there is no birth information for William the child. It does seem that Lovisia remarried following the death of William in 1841. She was with her son Elishia and his new wife in 1860 Kansas. Unconfirmed but I may have located her in 1850 Pickaway County Ohio in 1850. The 1860 census shows her as Conder (my judgment) the penmanship is poor and in 1850 I located a Lovey Condery of the right age and birth showing Delaware. I know she was born in either Virginia or North Carolina but I have learned to be flexible. She is in the house hold of a James Miles and wife Mary, Mary is also from Delaware. William also had a daughter Mary in Delaware. I have been unable to locate any marriage information on James Miles and Mary Unknown (I believe to be Mary Bowen).
