I for one understand the frustrations of Mr. Davis.I have been sent down the garden path with bad information, and I have also received valualable information from persons that have contacted me on the message boards or through my website. I also understand the "newbie" researcher's desire to find links to their past without checking and verifying the sources of this information. I also have seen poorly researched material passed off as bona-fide fact without any disclaimers.I was guilty of same in my newbie days, but with the guidance and suggestions of other researchers I have attempted to correct errors, note speculation or theory and name source materials, I now strive to meet much higher standards in my research than when I first began. Mr. Davis is a dedicated researcher and has high standards, he has provided useful information to other researchers. It may be true that Mr. Davis is no diplomat, as the tone he takes with some persons speaks for itself.( I think on the contrary, he likes arguing with people he doesn't even know). Perhaps it would be beneficial to everyone if he were to place his top ten list of those rampant and troublesome Bowen family errors that are floating out there on the internet, and that trouble him so and present his facts as he knows them. This way Mr. davis could guide many researchers down the right path, and help dispell those rampant rumours and errors, without blowing a gasket, he could simply lead them to his info page rather than chastising them on the message boards. Good luck searching everyone! Ben Bowen Rumored to be of The North Carolina > Illinois > Texas Bowen clan. Notify Administrator about this message?
