Hi Carol
My William Bow born 1814 married Mary Mitchell in Larbert Stirling 1838, they had at least 5 sons one being Willam born 1837 in Larbert (before their marriage) I have not been able to find much on him , I think he may have been in the military and may be the William Bow appearing in Kent England on the 1881 census . I have no more info and have not prove this to be him. Sorry I have taken a while to answer some how I missed your message.
