Victoria, Maybe I can answer a few questions for you. James Calvin Bow, born 06 Sept 1864 in Cumberland County, Ky, died 08 Mar 1931 in Cumberland County, Ky, married Mary Frances Norris 23 October 1898. She was born 10 Jun 1877 and died 17 Feb 1931, both in Cumberland County, Kentucky. James was the son of Matthew Marshall Bow and Sarah Mariah Arms. Now Matthew Marshall Bow was the son of Jacob Bow and Eliza Schueltz. This Jacob Bow (for there are many of them) was the son of Henry Bow and Mary "Polly" Hester, and Henry was the son of Jacob Bow and Jemina Ragland. This last Jacob Bow, husband of Jemina Ragland, is listed as a patriot in the DAR and is a entry point if one wants to join The Daughters of The American Revolution. This Jacob Bow sold supplies to the Armies of The American Colonial Troops. Now back to the family of Sariah Mariah Arms. She is the daughter of William Carroll Arms and Mahala Bow, who was the daughter of John Bow and Sarah Ann Thurman, who was the son of Nathaniel Bow and Rachel Thurman, who was the son of the same Jacob Bow and Jemina Ragland mentioned above. My father's family are from Cumberland County, Kentucky and I have done alot of research in that area. Would be happy to exchange information. Vickie
