Hi, have you checked the Ellis Island Website? or written to the clerks in Campagnia for more information?

Do you know where your family was prior to Campagnia? Have you looked in the white pages for Campagnia Italy for current residents and have you contacted anyone over there yet?

This website can help you write to Italy:

Also, this site can help you with US citizens:

Did Giovanni have other brothers? Maybe a Constantino? He came to the NY in 1913 and settled in CT. He is a descendant of the Figlino Estate in Tramonti, Italy.

The same names are handed down in Italy, so we may be related through Giovanni....

My Giovanni was born 1578 and married Princess Imperia Caraccioli. His descendants are listed as noble and native patriarchs of Ravello. Apparently, his geneaology was presented to the Assembly of Malta in the late 1600's to prove nobility (which was from marriages to princesses of the Pisciella/Capua and Caraccioli families).

The information I have was researched in Italy, but it mostly contains appointments and land ownerships, not too much information on their spouse, birth or children.

Maybe we can help each other?

Email me at pbove01@snet.net

I have a lot of other info too....family crest, historical info on Italy, specific towns, etc.
