Joe,
This is a family we have not had a lot of information for and so look forward to hearing more from you and your Bovard friend. Many of the Bovard "cuzins" have shared information about their families as they have researched. It adds to my 9 year pursuit of the "Bovard -One Name- Study."We have about 8 to 9 families who came from Ireland to America and 1 in Australia and families in Canada (Bovairds). When those families came down into the US, they changed the spelling to Bovard. So, in some cases, it has been a challenge to put families together.
Your posting for Abraham and Ellinor (Eleanor) Bovard. You have the 1880 census of Wash. Twp., Licking Co., OH.
From CD177-OH Vital Records #2 / 1750s-1880s Ohio Cemetery Records. Monumental Inscriptions from the Old New Cemeteries, Utica, OH.
Abram Bovard1825-1908
Eleanor A. Bovard wife of A.1841-1908
(from the 1880 census info you included, I had est. Abraham b. abt 1825 and Ellinor/Eleanor b. abt 1841.
I do have some more information and will spend a little more time today in putting it in better data order.I hope that you won't mind if I send it direct to your e-mail address.
Have you scanned the list of other people who have posted? Please check those that I have posted and especially the one that covers the very early Beauvert/Bovard years.
Sandy
