First let me say - glad you found your connection! I, too, several years ago wanted to know about the town Boutte. I wrote to St. Charles Parish CC. I received back a phamplet called "Louisiana's Old Spanish Trail". It had "Boutte - Founded in the 1850's by Tisaphone Boutte, this city is now a populated community and shopping area for St. Charles Parish residents. The Alligator Festival is held here annually the last weekend in September."
I had a descendant of Tisaphone tell me that Tisaphone never lived in Boutte, LA. Sooo, I don't know what to think. If you can find an address for Boutte City Hall, maybe try writing there.
