How many other Modeste Bourques have you found?
Reported years of birth can vary from record to record depending on many different factors.
I found a Frederic and Modeste Bourque b. 1828 and 1829 respectively, living in Westmorland, New Brunswick in the 1901 census. Based on those birthdates and using the BOURG name to search for Modeste, I found her birth record. It is handwritten in French, making it somewhat difficult for me to decipher, but it appears that her parents were Pierre Bourg and Suzanne Arsenault. There are other ancestral references, too.
