Julia,

I saw your posting from 2002, and I am trying to established whether Gabrial Abner Bourland who is buried in Itasca is the son of the Benjamin and Abigal Bourland you mentioned from the 1850 census. The age is right, the name is right, the Franklin County connection is right, and Family folklore says he came from Alabama. I also could not find parents for Benjamin Bourland or any other information on his wife Abigal. Any information would be helpful.(I have just started looking at my Father's notes on our family, so I am new at this.) Does anyone know why there was this migration of Franklin County residents to Texas? Several family with different family names appeared to have come to Texas. Gabriel is my gg grandfather.

Thanks,

Brent Bourland
