Germain Doucet, beaufrere de J.Bourgeois
Does anyone know about the Chateaufort, that left Acadia in the latter part of August 1654, to go to France (where in France?), bringing back French Acadia settlers who returned to their homeland after the English had taken over fort Pentagoet and Acadia? A passenger list, if anyone knows where it could be kept, would help find out if Germain Doucet, sieur de LaVerdure, military, and captain at arms, perhaps a knight of the Order of Malta, brother in law of Jacques (Jacob) Bourgeois, was on this ship, with his wife, and possibly with Jacques Bourgeois' father. Any information would be appreciated. Marielle
