Belinda....
Most Catholic girls, especially French-Catholic, had the first name of Mary, or Marie. In some of my ancestor's families, with seven or eight daughters, all of their first names were Marie. Often it wasn't used, but it was on their birth certificates. Was Emerites first name Marie? If so, it would be the norm, and it would also explain the Census of 1910. I can't figure out how he could have married Marie Guilbeaux in 1906, and Emerite is still on the Census of 1930????? Doesn't make ense. Emerite would have been 30 in 1910, at the time of the Census. I think Marie Guilbeaux is either an incorrect entry, or that the marriage date is incorrect. Also, she could be the wife of a different Joseph Breaux.(There were a lot of them.) Anyway, I hope you figure it out. Judith
