I think the Census is correct, and that the person who entered the information into the LDS sight has some of it wrong. She is the one who entered "O'Neil" as a middle name. All the other sources I found stated Joseph B. I wondering if the marriage dates were transposed, and if he married Marie in 1897, and married Emerite in 1904. One bit of information I found stated that Emerite was married in 1904.
You know, people find a similarname, and they assume that it is the person they are looking. I trust Census reports and legal records before any info entered by an individual, unless it is validated.
But, some of that info is helpful in getting you to the "stuff" you are looking for.
