Hi Thanks for all of your information! You are quite knowledgeable on the subject. Are you part of the Bourgeois family? I got some information from Le centre de généalogie Père Charles Aucoin from Cheticamp @les trois pignons that verifies what you say. My husband's uncle had gone to the Magdalen Islands to find out about his great-grand-father Joseph Alexandre Bougeois and supposedly he talked to some of his relatives about their relationship. He was told that Alexandre was the son of Raymond Bourgeois (born on the Islands) and Esther Cormier (born in Port a Port) They had 3 sons and one daughter, Joseph Alexandre, Raymond, Ernest and Esther. According to the uncle, Alexandre married Harriette (White) Leblanc which we know is true. So we are just questioning which Alexandre we are related to. This is why we are confused. Alex and Harriet had many children and their daughter, Adeline is my husband's grand-mother. We know that this is true also. As I said, there is only one discrepency. Maybe you know which Alexandre is which? My husband tends to believe your history but unfortunately, we can't ask the uncle. He passed away in 1971. Thanks again for your help!
