Posted by: (David) JOHN FORTIER (ID *****2619) Date: February 14, 2008 at 08:04:25
  of 1793

In the Acadian Expulsion, a BOURGEOUS family treks from L'Acadie to Montreal with only 14 survivors. A BOURGEOUS girl arrives as the only woman survivor and an orphan. She becomes a maid for a farmer in St Michel de Napierville, and later marries a RICARD. Their daughter becomes Mrs Joseph St Jemme de Beauvais.(Have found a PELAGIE RICARD married (Joe) Joseph Dit ST JAMES, 16 Oct, 1837. Their last child-Joseph, married DOMITILDE PERRIER with 8 children born. The sixth child-LEAH (LELIA ESTER)married ALBERT SMITHERS, whose first child was my mother..BLANCHE VICTORIA. Would love to know more.
