Hi: Nemour Bourg was my grandmother's father. I have the following written in my grandmother's writing "I cannot give you any information about my father's side except that his mother was born in Belgium, her name was Aurelie De Siguer. His father's name was Maximillian (or Macallister?) Bourg born in Louisiana. My father had 3 sisters, Anna, Cecilia & Marie." Not too much info but possibly of interest. My grandma was his daughter Ethel Genevieve Bourg born May 28, 1897. Nemour J. Bourg was born on November 5, 1860 in Thibodaux, Louisiana. In my father's handwriting I have the following on a line graph: "Joe Louis Macallister Bourg born in Louisiana married Caroline Beene" as if they are the parents of Nemour Bourg, but I believe Joseph L. Bourg was instead Nemour's son. I have an exerpt of a publication called "Louisiana: Comprising Sketches of Parishes, Towns, Events, Institutions, and Persons, Arranged in Cyclopeid Form (volume 3), pp 491-492. Edited by Alce Fortier, Lit.D. Published in 1914, by Century Historical Association. The subject of which is my great-uncle Dr. Lester Bernard Bourg. In the text of the entry is the following information: "Bourg, Dr. Lester Bernard, D.D.S., successful dentist, White Castle, LA., was born at Thibodaux, La., Dec. 26, 1889, son of Judge Nemour T. and Jullett (Juliette) (Webre) Bourg, both of whom were natives of the locality in which the son was born, where the father followed the vocation of a justice of peace and farmer throughout life. The paternal grandfather, McAllister Bourg, also was a native of Louisiana and followed the business of Live stock. He is now deceased. ...". I believe I have seen Nemour Bourg's obituary - which gives some additional information about his life. Of course, I would be interested if this helps you to progress in your research. Best regards
