The Bourg family.

I am preparing a book of copies of the actual archived documents to provide most birth, marriage and some death dates for our ancestors dating from my great great grandparents who lived at Bourghoff Castle, Canton of Mersch, in the village of Beisten, the parish of Cruchten in Nommern, Luxembourg and probably all if not most of all seven generations preceding them and their children. They have to have had many descendents! The pedigree I have amassed goes back to 1688 with those seven generations of our ancestors. If you have descended from my great, great grandparents: Servais born 18 May 1828,Beisten, Bofferdange, Mersch, Nommern, Luxembourg and Elizabeth, born 1 Jan 1833, Buffordinger(France or Luxembourg), I am preparing a book of all that I have gathered. Some seven generations lived at Bourghoff Castle, ending with Maria Florentine or Mary Florentia, born 7 Apr 1873,a sister to my ancestor,Gustave, who were two of the four children who came to America with Elizabeth after Servais was shot by Napoleon's army.

Tell me if you are also their descendant and have pictures, documents, and other information to share. I would be delighted to learn more.

Years ago, my mother gave me pictures of the castle at Bourghoff that she was given( I wasn't told who took them), and I have enlarged them to be included in the book. I have one letter great grandpa Gustave wrote, naming a few family names. Gretchen, Hanna and Ignatius's names have not yet been proven with documentation. They may have been nicknames? And I have a photo of a painting of Servais and Elibabeth which is hanging on the wall at the castle.

Let me know if you just want a copy of the book.
