Hello,
by now you may have found the info you needed but most Bourdons in England changed the name to Borden. Originally (for most of them ) the name was De Bourdon sometimes spelled De Bourden), from a Francis who came from Normandy to fight for William the Conqueror. His grandson Simon seems to be the best link to descendants. Many seem to have emigrated to the New World. Go to the Borden forum or use search engines (such as Google) to look for Headcorn,Kent and you will find a lot of info relating to different lines of Bordens etc. My sister-in-law is a descendant of this Francis De Bourdon, which in time became Borden, through to the US ,then Canada..PS in modern French Bourdon means Bumblebee, but in ancient times it may have stemmed from either a place or an attribute of strength or such.(would be interesting to see the Coat of Arms.)Good luck!H.
