Hi Sandy,
You seem to be working on the descendants of Euchariste Bourassa (b:1827 in Yamachiche, QC who married Adeline Gagnon (b:1830 in Yamachiche, QC) in 1854 in Berthierville, QC. They moved to Houghton, MI about 1869 where Euchariste died in 1905.
They raised eleven children with long French names including a son Telesphore (b:1861) and a girl Eugenie (b:1863. Any one could have changed their first name to a Paul or John just like some changed their surname to Brassaw.
Our temperature still hovers aroung the freezing point and does not compare to your sizzling 100 degrees these days.
