I saw your post and had to write. I am also doing research on a family that was on Mackinac Is about 1818. His name was Peter Muller. He had several children, my ggg grandmother Catherine, and a brother named Alexander...also names Paschal, Margaret, and Socra were named on a treaty in 1833. a grandchild of Alex married into the Bourassa family after they were in Kansas. I would love it if you could tell me your fees for doing a bit of digging for me. Thanks so much, Robbi Hoy
Oh yes, they were all members of the Pottawatomie tribe. I believe Peter may have been a French Fur trader.
