Fern: Thank you most kindly for your reply and information. Sara Bourassa is my great-great grandmother. She married Theodore Snow [Chenard]. Their son, Theodore, married Elizabeth Lutz and had four children: Carl, Leo, Earl, and Jessie. Jessie is my grandmother. The Bourassa family moved from Quebec to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin area in the late 1840's. Sara's three brothers: Michel (Mitchel), Charles, and Marcel (William) later moved to Southern Minnesota. The Bourassa name, through pronunciation, evolved to Bursaw at this time. Charles and family eventually moved back to Canada, settling in Saskatchewan. Would like to know more of my Bourassa line. Again, thank you for your reply and information, it is greatly appreciated.
