Ron: The only photos I have are of Dan's immediate family. I know that the Boursaw's who live on the Pennisula in Traverse have a picture of John Baptist Boursaw in his indian garb, but that is the only one I know of here. I also have a picture of Joseph Napoleon Boursaw(Bourassa) son of Mark D. who was an interpretor in Kansas and a prominent citizen in Potawattomi county. That branch was removed in the treaty of 1833, Mark and his son Benjamin returned to Michigan but his other sons remained in the territories. This is quite a wide-spread family. In the 1600's there were two Bourassa's in Quebec. Jean Baptist Bourassa and Francois Bourassa. Both came from the same province in France, and Jean came 15 years before Francois, but both settled in the same area. I have not determined their relationship as yet, but I am pretty sure there is a connection. Francois son, Rene came to Montreal and then as a voyager to the Straits. He is the ancestor many of the Michigan Boursaw's are related to. All I know of Christine St Andre is that she was buried in Gros Cap cemetery and that she apparently had a child out of wedlock named Phillip Boursaw, the father was listed as John Bourisaw, but I have not been able to find a marriage record.Who this John is I have not determined, but Phillip was born around 1905 or 1906. The following is what I have on this family:

Francois (Mawcopaw) on the Durant Roll is my husband's great-grandfather. If you need help with research let me know. I have been doing this for 30 years and do it professionally for other people. Can you believe it, they actually pay me to do something I love. I have access to all the vital records of Michigan, since I am also the director of a Family History Center. Most of the information I cited above came from the birth, marriage, and death records of Mackinac, Cheboygan, Grand Traverse, Emmett, etc; I have info on this family coming out my ears, have not worked on it for a while and can see I need to go through all my files which are massive, since I have this family not only in Michigan, but also Wisconsin, Minnisota, Montana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, etc, etc, etc. I did find a picture of Norman Boursaw that I think was given me by Hazel Lavoie. Send me your snail mail and I will send you what I have gathered on the family. Soon, Donnie
