Hi,
Recently I sent for info, on my gr gr grandparents. The gauthiers and Lacroix family in Leelanau, MI. When I got the marraige entry info, Joseph Gauthier, who is a son, of my gr gr grandparents, married Margaret Duverne, (Duvernay) and many alternate spellings. They were married in Eagle town PEshawbeetwon in 1858, have date looking at an enlargement I made.
Her parents were Frances Duverne' and Marie Bourassa, witnesses were John Duvernay and J.B. Bourassa, info I have found on web sites in MI, is that Marie Bourassa was the daughter of Louise Bourassa and MAry Bois,( INDIAN) I would glady send a copy to anyone interested, just very confused with information,I have found so far. I can even post the web site if interested to others to read queries, and info on leelanau if that would help.
p.s. Joseph gauthier I seek was the son of Francis Xavier Gauther and Marianne Farelle, (AREL). I have other dates as well if anyone needs this info.
