London Alienis, Thomas Berends (1829-1909) and Ytsen Berends (1833- ) born in Dantumadeel Friesland Holland. The three brothers boarded the ship Benjamin Aymer on Antwerp Belgium in 1857 to arrive in New York USA. They moved to Iowa. Their mother's name was Menke, born in 1800. I have extensive information on Thomas' descendants. Would like to hear more from the Netherlands.
