Hi there

Just a thought but if Alice Bolton was born in Dec 1859 then on the census she should only be 21 as she would be 22 in 1881 after the census was taken (thats supposing that the correct age has been put on the census). I did a check for Alice Bolton born in Yorks and came up with this one who could fit the IGI record (unfortunately she is not with her parents so that doesnt help!)

BOULTON, Alice       Serv       <1860>       Birth:       York       Adwick Le Street
       Census:       York       Ackworth

There was one other Alice Boulton born 1859/1860 but her details did not match with Adwick Le Street. This is assuming that Alice Bo(u)lton in Yorks was not married by 1881!

I am researching (only just started!!) my Boulton roots - they were from Essex.

good luck

Cathy
