I believe that this would be the same family.

A question that I have and upon which I would appreciate your opinion, is that according to the extracted records of the IGI (and extracted records have a much greater rate of accuracy than those submitted by patrons) there is a very similar person.

Apparently there was an Alice BOLTON b. 25 Dec 1859 in Adwick Le Street, Yorkshire, England, F: Joseph BOLTON, M: Elizabeth.
This can be found on the IGI at C039621 1813-1867 0840011 Film 6909920.

The parents' first names are the same, and the date is good. Plus the fact that the Joseph Boulton on the 1881 census was from Yorkshire. Note the last names have a variation.
The marriage certificate that my mother has for the Shea/Boulton marriage states that Alice's father was an engineer (snap!).

What do you think? Are these two Alice's the same person, and where do you think she was born - Yorkshire or Shoreditch?
