Captain Daniel Boultinghouse

In connection with a forthcoming book on Illinois in the War of 1812 I am seeking biographical information about Captain Daniel Boultinghouse of White County, Illinois. My interest is historical, rather than genealogical, but I am seeking genealogical-type information: date and place of birth, places of residence, date and place of death, place of burial. Because of the nature of the book, I will be interested in sources of information and documentation. I am also interested in information concerning a young man named Joseph Boultinghouse killed by Indians near what is now Albion, Illinois in April 1813. He is sometimes said to have been a son, and other times a brother, of Daniel. Any help will be acknowledged with gratitude. I do want to give the captain his due.
