The data I have, via Marjory Slater (may she rest in peace) is that Daniel Boultinghouse Jr. of Illinois, then Arkansas, then Texas, was first married 17 Dec. 1817 to Sarah "Sally" Brown, in White Co., ILL. Daniel Jr. DID have a sister named Mahalia, married to John H. Hon in 1825, but she died about 21 May, 1846 in White Co., ILL. Daniel Jr. and Sarah (Brown) Boultinghouse did have a daughter, Mahalia, born 14 Feb 1831 in southern Ill. and married Daniel Willis Russell 24 Feb 1848 near Waldron, Scott Co., Ark.

Daniel Boultinghouse Jr. was a twin, his twin brother was Dennis. I read someplace that Daniel Jr. had to leave the White Co., ILL. area because of a killing. He apparently was put on trial in Edwards Co., ILL. (just north of White Co., ILL) for murder, but was not convicted.

This is an interesting family.

Dan in CALIF.
