Hi Alec, Thank you for your reply. I've been going through my Boultenhouse info. I hope some of this will be of help to you. Henry Boultenhouse who was a son of John Boultenhouse, Miami Co., OH married Phebe Bousman dau. of Lorentz Bousman early settler of Miami Co. At the time of the 1840 Federal Census Henry was listed in Tippecanoe Co., IN on the same page as Catherine & her husband Henry T. Roe.
It seems that there was some sort of connection between Catherine & Henry Boultenhouse. John Boultenhouse applied for his Rev. Pension in 1820, and only two sons, Henry & Abraham, were listed. Catherine didn't marry Henry Roe til 182l. If John was her father, where was she in 1820? Henry moved to California. The 1880 Census lists Henry & his father as both having been born in NY. He claimed his mother had been born in Germany. I have the names of his children & their spouses. There was a John Boultinghouse listed as a voter in the 1/11/1803 election in Washington Twp., Clermont Co., OH. There was a Lisa Bottinghouf who married a Jonathan Wier 12/4/1806 in Clermont Co., OH. I have a copy of the inventory for Daniel Bouttenhouse who died intestate in Morris Co., NJ. His wife was listed as Saphina Bouttenhouse. Let me know what else I can give you. Vicki Begtrup
