Alex (and other Boultinghouse ancestors),
Thanks for your note. I have copies of several of the letters you sent to Margery Slater prior to her death. She was very generous in sharing her Boultinghouse data with me.
From what I have seen and heard, it seems the Boultinghouse family came from Europe (could they have been Hugenouts?) and settled in New Jersey proir to the Amer. Revolution.
Were they on ships in Boston harbor in 1774? I doubt it. I think a ship passenger manifest would have emerged by now. I believe they were already here and settled in NJ.
After the war, the Boultinghouse men seemed to head west and north, to Virginia/Pennsylvania and Ohio and to Canada (isn't this your branch Alex?) From Ohio, Daniel moved to Ill. Terr. (about 1810) and John went to Indiana.

I HOPE SOMEDAY ALL THE BOULTINGHOUSE RESEARCHERS COULD GET TOGETHER TO SHARE DATA. (AND ARGUE FACTS/FANTASY/BELIEFS)

Have to go for now. I am interested in keeping in touch with other Boultinghouse researchers. My line is from Daniel > John > Eliza > Sarah Jane > Josephine (my great grandma)

Take Care,

Dan
