Thomas Bowles b. late 1600s was first married to a wife unknown.At that time Bowles was also written as Boules and Boult.Their children were John,Thomas,Kenelm,Anna(Susannah),and Mary.Later on in life,the children at this time were spelling and going by the name of Boult.Anna Boult married John Billingsley.Mary Boult married Thomas Watts. Kenelm Boult was named after Thomas's loyal friend Kenelm Cheseldyne JR. Cheseldyne was Kenelm Boult's Godfather,and is mentioned in Cheseldyne's will.Kenelm Boult married Susannah (Anne)Gough. Their Children were Thomas,Susannah,Elizabeth,Mary,and Sarah. Kenelm died in 1757 and in 1761 his wife Anne remarried to John Tarlton.Their union produced 9 more children. Kenelm's son, Thomas Boult married Elizabeth Watts.They had several children ,most dying young.Their son William Boult married Elizabeth Hammett.At this time the name spelling changed sometimes to Boullt.Thomas Bowles 2nd marriage was to Elizabeth(Betty)Thompson. It was Elizabeth's 4th marriage.They produced a daughter named Elizabeth Bowles.
