If you can't do the original research right now, then go to Charlotte and Lunenburg County (VA) Genweb. Jo Lee Spears is the coordinator or owner. These two counties are the key in finding those surnames you named. SC had a large Vaughan family as did VA as you know! As for Lewis Vaughan, see Thomas Hamblin's will, Lewis is listed as a purchaser. If in my research I should come across anything new, I'll let you know. Thanks.
