Ferdinand Boulanger - Quebec 1800's
Looking for the Quebec home and info on my greatgrandfather, Ferdinand Boulanger. Possible something like Alsace, PQ.
He took a ship south, (some say it may have been a prison ship), jumped ship at Panama & hiked up to the California gold strike. Next he headed to Canada where he married a native lady & settled down in the lower mainland of BC. The area now known as Maple Ridge. He changed his name to Peter Baker somewhere along the way. Their first kid, Augustus, was born in 1863 in Maple Ridge. Thanks for any help!
