Hey folks, how about Louisa? After all, this Forum was created in an effort to locate Louisa. And yes, we all have consulted Ivan Bauknight's book. But guess what ? The information on Louisa is incorrect ! Since I have been looking for Louisa I have been able to put together various Bouknight, Busby, Bullard and Dorsey researchers. But alas, nothing on Louisa. It strikes me as very strange that a family of record keepers let one member slip through the cracks. Most of her brothers and sisters families kept good records. But no mention of Louisa. And the error in Ivan's book ! Must be some kind of conspiracy...
The family stories from the Kelley's point to a somewhat checkered past for Harvey. Perhaps that is why we have no information on Louisa. Maybe she was the black sheep of the family. But even if she was, someone should know of her whereabouts between 1850 and 1870 and about her marriage to Harvey Kelley.
Come on folks, get those little gray cells working ! Our efforts , both Nancy Custer's and mine, ultimately led to this Forum and the Bouknight / Upshur Co. connection. And as a result, it appears that many of you have been able to fill in some of the branches in your trees. Now how about a hand with ours ?
