I am working on Leesburg, Florida pioneers, and would like to find out whatever happened to Sidney J. Bouknight born January 1841 in Lexington Co, SC. He and brother came to Sumter County, Florida before 1870, as the 1870 Census lists Sidney Bauknight (sic) as a merchant and his brother, Frank [John Franklin] Bauknight as a clerk in the store at Leesburg. The business direcory of 1886-87 lists S. J. Bauknight (sic) & Bro., Clothing & gents etc. The Bro. was James R. Bouknight. Frank had died in 1883 and was buried in Lone Oak Cemetery. The rest of the family dropped out of sight after 1887. He was very active in the community while he was here. Was he the Sidney J. Bouknight in Jacksonville during the 1890's?
