Found information in book "Acadian Odyssey" by Oscar William Winzerling. Library #971.6
w739a. When the Spanish were listing names of Acadians as they arrived in Louisiana they couldn't pronouce the French names so they had the people mark an "X" after their names. Another good book "The Cajuns: from Acadia to Louisiana" by William Faulkner Rushton. Library #976.3 r896c. Boudrot is listed on the arrival in Acadia in 1632. A listing in "The Cajuns" lists 263 Boudreaux names in Acadia.
