My husband is a direct descendant in your line down to Etienne I, however, my research shows Joseph I to be son of Etienne I and his second wife, Marguerite Dupuis, d/o Olivier Dupuis and Anne Boudrot. I show Marie died apparently 1777 or earlier as Etienne I, widower, married 2 Feb 1778 at St. Philippe of Laprairie QP to Marguerite. She was born 1755 at Grand Pre, Acadie.
My husband is descended from their son Jacques married Suzanne Audet, their son Julien married Phoebe Cyr, their son Calice married Sarah Austin, their son Fred married Ellen Sawyer, their son Arthur (his father) married Henrietta Riffel.
