According to the Illinois Marriage Index they indeed got married on January 20, 1897 in
Kankakee County. License Number 6157. If you go down to your Local Family History Center (Morman Church) you can order a microfilm on Kankakee County marriages. It will show the names of both parents of the bride and groom. You can also order microfilms on Kankakee County Census, births
and deaths. I may be able to help you some more after you find the names of the parents.
