Steve,

I'm descended, as I'm sure you are, from Michel Boudrot and Michelle Aucoin who came from France to Acadia about 1640 and are the first ancestors of that family name in North America. One question which vexes most genealogists and historians about Michel Boudrot are his origins. Most say he was born about 1601, possibly in the ancient parish of Notre-Dame de Cougnes in the diocese of La Rochelle. Does the book provide any information about Michel's origins and cite any proof?

Thanks, Bill Brunelle
