Elaine: I want to thank you for your time in helping me. If you read the return post to Dennis you were right on the info you sent to me on Armidas/Armida. I know spellings are so many changes but I don't believe the link he said is correct. Anther problem w/this family after Armidas died (who was always called Dick) his wife changed first name for some years. Then his daughters changed their names a bit (had reasons) & they all married more than once - sometimes taking the husbands name & sometimes not. A lot of different stories over the years & seems secrets - parts of lives they hid. Some things are unanswerable at all. The youngest of 9 children who was born afte the 1930 census but in 1930 went his adult life being known as Paul. His wife told me she found a picture of him in 3 or 4th grade that said Richard. My father (Robert) told me his name was in fact Richard he changed it to Paul - why?
But that you again for your help & I will get that subscription you suggested.
As I posted to Dennis should have started this a long time ago because my father was so young. His siter that is now dying was 16 yrs. older than him so knew a lot but too late now. I am very interested in getting whatever history & pictures she had. There again my father did not know about these I happen to see some once when I was at her house and a cousin I just tracked after 20 years knows about more pictures & maybe other things also she has.
I would very much like to get a good bit of info for my Dad done - he is very excited I am persuing this.
