PS. I should have also mentioned that my grandmother is a Beliveau and a direct descendant of Antoine Belliveau and Andree Guyon, so I should know something about this family which I have traced to its outermost branches. In addition, my second generation ancestress, Cécile Melanson, wife of Abraham Boudrot, remarried the widower Jean Belliveau, son of the aforementioned couple after the death of her first husband. In all my research on this family, I have never run across any relation of our Belliveau family to the Canadian ancestor, Jean Guyon. I assume you are talking here of the Jean Guyon, son of Jacques and Marie Huet, who married Mathurine Robin, daughter of Eustache and Madeleine Avrard in Mortagne, FR on 2 Jun 1615. I descend on my mom's side from their daughter, Marie who married François Belanger in 1637 in Quebec City.

Best regards, Dennis
